After watching all those video clips and movies and episodes about the wars and battles, and seeing the gruesome and horrifying experience acted out on film, I have decided that I never, ever, not in a million years, want to join ANY war.
What those soldiers had to go through is so shocking and terrible..there aren't even enough words to describe it. No one wants to sign up for THAT (except maybe that creepy guy who cut out the dead dude's gold teeth in the episode we watched today).
How do they prepare the soldiers for that? They can't. How could they? None of them expected that. How they were able to continue on and keep fighting is amazing. I would be frozen in fear and pee my pants. Anyone else with me? Those soldiers were extremely brave to be out there fighting. It's sad that most of them didn't even want to be there too, but they still went and fought (I read somewhere that only 1 out of 3 soldiers in WWII were volunteers, the others were drafted. Anyone know any legit statistics about this?).
